About the Lecture: This illustrated talk will discuss the
production, distribution and collection of ceramics with blue
decoration from the introduction of blue decorated porcelain in
China in the 14th century, through the development of comparable
technologies in the West, and the eventual adoption of transfer
printed blue pottery as the china of choice of the emerging middle
class resulting from the industrial revolution.

a special interest in the products of the smaller German Factories

and her opening of Patrician Antiques with ceramics as an area
of specialization.

and porcelain from any country and any time period.

Worcester Porcelain ( the old Dyson Perrins Museum ) will talk
about the decoration of Worcester porcelain by the James Giles
London decorating studio from 1776 -1783.
